Description
Abominations enjoy Fresh Meat and long walks on the beach.

Abomination is a neutral minion card with taunt and a deathrattle that deals two damage to all characters, including the heroes.

Strategy[edit]

The Abomination's stats are rather weak for a 5 cost minion, and therefore its deathrattle becomes its most important trait. However, because the Abomination's deathrattle deals its damage to all characters, this can make it detrimental and counter-productive to many strategies. If it is not drawn in the early game, it can easily turn into a bad play—giving the opponent an option for aoe board removal, bringing your hero's health below critical match-up hp thresholds (Pyroblast mage, for example), &c. Because it cannot protect nor be followed up by any low health minions, it is perhaps best used as unorthodox board removal, or as an answer to aggro decks that have a focus on low-health minions. The Abomination synergizes best in decks that run with very little low-health minions, or decks that run few minions in general.

Lore[edit]

Abominations are large, strong, dumb amalgams animated corpses. They were created by the Scourge. When the Forsaken split from the Lich King’s control, they took a number of abominations with them — and, so some say, the ability to create more. Forsaken abominations guard Undercity and perform various tasks for their masters. Abominations love ripping and tearing apart living creatures. They also are breeding grounds for disease, and clouds of flies and putrid sick surround them. Their rotting guts hang from gashes in their stomachs.[1]
