FlyQuest is an American professional esports organization founded by Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Wesley Edens and Fortress Investment Group in December 2016, currently competing in League of Legends.[1]
History[edit]
The team first participated in NA LCS Spring Season 2017 after buying the spot of Cloud9 Challenger which was promoted to the LCS through the promotion tournament. Additionally, most of the roster of Cloud9 Challenger (Balls, Hai, Altec and LemonNation) transferred to the new team,[1] while former Team Liquid player and analyst Moon joined as the team's jungler.[2] In its first split, the team qualified to the playoffs, where it finished 4th, winning over Counter Logic Gaming in the quarterfinal while losing to Team SoloMid in the semifinal and to Phoenix1 in the 3rd place match.
On May 25, Team SoloMid ADC WildTurtle joined,[3] which was followed by the move of Altec to Team Dignitas.[4] The summer split has been less successful for FlyQuest, resulting in a 7th place after the group stage.
