Joshy "AskJoshy" Sutherland is an American Overwatch caster based in Los Angeles. He has been producing esports content since 2010, beginning with StarCraft II and continuing on with League of Legends, ShootMania, Hearthstone, and Heroes of the Storm. AskJoshy is the former Community Manager and Social Media Manager at IGN Pro League (IPL), and a former Associate Esports Manager at Blizzard. He currently streams Overwatch full-time on and produces videos on YouTube.


Joshy Sutherland is a California resident who is originally from South Carolina. His career has revolved around StarCraft II since February 2010, and has led him from working from home near Charleston, SC to San Francisco to work at IGN Pro League, then to Irvine to work for Blizzard Entertainment. Joshy has been playing Blizzard games almost his entire life, starting with Warcraft II around 1996. In Fall of 2015, Joshy changed focus from StarCraft II to Overwatch full-time.

In Beta[edit]

Joshy changed the focus of his YouTube channel to become 100% Overwatch-oriented, and began streaming full-time on From the beginning of the closed beta in October, 2015 to the end of the open beta in May, 2016, Joshy's Twitch channel had grown from only 800 Followers to nearly 16,000. From February to April, Joshy streamed Overwatch for at least 2 hours per day, usually 8 hours or more, for a span of 77 consecutive days. He held numerous giveaways, hosted several marathons, and commentated more than 20 tournaments and showmatches during closed and open beta.

TownHall Overwatch[edit]

Beginning February 18, 2016, SolidJakeGG and AskJoshy created a new Overwatch talk show and podcast called TownHall Overwatch, modeled after its sister show, TownHall Heroes. The purpose of the show is to review recent occurrences in the Overwatch community, with an emphasis on competitive play and Blizzard announcements. In April 2016, SpOh joined as a full-time guest. Other guests on the show include professional players such as KyKy and PYYYOUR, as well as content creators like Disciple and Unctious.
