Philadelphia Fusion is the team representing Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, in the Overwatch League.

The team is owned by Comcast Spectacor, a sports and entertainment company that manages hundreds of stadiums in North America and Singapore.

Timeline[edit]

  • September 20th - Franchise is officially announced, as part of the final three franchises of the Inaugural Season of the Overwatch League.[1]
  • November 1st - The Philadelphia franchise officially reveal their new name, the Philadelphia Fusion.[2][3]
  • November 3rd - The team announces their 12-man roster in a video.[4]
  • November 4th - The team announces their Coaching staff.[5]
  • November 29th - SADO is suspended for the first 30 games of Season 1 for account boosting before being signed to the organization.[6]
  • March 1st - Support staff for the Fusion is announced.[7]
  • March 30th - The Philadelphia Fusion announce Kabaji and Hoonmaru have joined the organization as streamers. [8]
  • April 4th - Eqo was fined $1,000 for behavior on his personal Twitch stream by Overwatch League and additionally fined $2,000 and suspended for three matches by the Philadelphia Fusion.[9][10]
