Alex Kim, better known as "Supernovamaniac", is a commentator who casted the English stream of the 2012-2013 Proleague alongside his co-commentator Whiplash.

Though Alex has played Brood War and SC2 many years previously, he only recently started casting professionally before taking the position as co-caster for the English Proleague.

In addition to his casting career, Alex Kim is currently studying at Carnegie Mellon University, expected to graduate in 2015.

Brood War[edit]

Alex began playing Starcraft as early as age 7, and years later played on iCCup until his eventual discovery of Teamliquid and the greater Starcraft community.[1] He also translated the TVing OSL Finals.

Wings of Liberty[edit]

After he started streaming Starcraft 2 (as well as Brood War) in 2010, Alex gradually began taking an interest in casting, and tried his hand at Starcraft commentary on his stream, and on his YouTube channel. His interest in casting soon became less and less a passing interest and has since decided to become a pro-level Starcraft 2 caster.

Heart of the Swarm[edit]

Though he has played in the Heart of the Swarm beta previously, he will begin casting games once Proleague switches to HotS.
