2017 DreamHack/Atlanta[edit]

Hey, would you mind letting me stay on the DH Atlanta list? I was so happy with my results this tournament and I have a rather fleshed out user page compared to the other master's and low GM players on the notable list. It's my 2 seconds of fame.

No. It does not matter if your userpage is very well done, if you're not notable enough you won't get listed there. --DARKING (talk) 01:06, 27 July 2017 (UTC)

DuSt League Season 1[edit]

Hi, Can I have full access to the wiki page for this league? I initially planned on making it myself so I can fully edit it without waiting for confirmation from someone else. If I have that access, I can make edits and they can just go right through. - Bidoux (DuSt Gaming Guy)

I don't have that kind of power. Ask one of the higher ups, see what they have to say. --DARKING (talk) 15:26, 27 July 2015 (KST)

Who would be a higher up and how would i contact them? -Bidoux

Chapatiyaq would be I think who you want to contact. You can search for him in the team liquid website and leave him a pm, or here in liquipedia and talk to him in his userspace, or look for him on the forums or IRC. --DARKING (talk) 16:06, 27 July 2015 (KST)

ASUS ROG Qualifier[edit]

I guess it should be totally fine for everyone to edit stuff, you can't just claim that page. Also you removed noticeable players that I added, if you had just worked alongside me, it could already be done ... because I thought the goal of editors is bringing the information to the readers as fast as possible, not claiming pages.--XYc (talk) 23:27, 29 December 2013 (KST)

My apologies if I did something wrong. I'm just trying to do the best I can as soon as possible. Sorry about it. --DARKING (talk) 23:30, 29 December 2013 (KST)
Ok, no grudge held, let's get back to it.--XYc (talk) 23:33, 29 December 2013 (KST)

2012 World Championship Series: Mexico Nationals[edit]

Hi! I saw that you've added the qualified players from the first two qualifiers. That is greet news. Though I have a few questions, since you seem to know a bit about the Mexican scene. Do you have any source or bracket for the qualifiers? How come ClouD qualified, as he failed to qualify for the European Championship, by failing in the Italy nationals? Maybe thats a different ClouD? Do you know where I can find informations about the organizer? I could not find any website :/ Thanks in advance, and happy editing! shz (Talk | Contributions) 20:00, 18 June 2012 (KST)

Hello. Yeah, I've been adding the WCS Mexican qualifiers as they are being played. I'm Mexican, and didn't saw anyone else updating it, so I took it to myself to do it. While there is a website for the Mexican WCS ([1]) that page has only the dates and place info. The qualified players have been put on the facebook page ([2]), among the pictures they have there. And yeah, the Cloud that qualified in Mexico is not same Cloud as the European one, they just happen to share names. All of the players are Mexican. --DARKING 08:51, 19 June 2012 (KST)
Great, thanks for the information! shz (Talk | Contributions) 09:06, 19 June 2012 (KST)

Editor[edit]

Congratulations on making editor. You'll notice that you now have autoreview status, which means that any of your edits will automatically be reviewed. However, if you edit a page that is currently a draft it will stay a draft, unless you or someone else reviews it. You can also do the basic level of reviews (except for quality pages) which will display that draft as the current revision of the page to all who look at it. On Liquipedia:Reviewing we've tried to write some of the guidelines for how to review. And Help:Flagged_Revisions details how the whole revision system works. Feel free to join us in chat on #liquipedia on quakenet if you have any questions or want to talk more to the rest of us. --blahz0r 06:37, 6 July 2012 (KST)

Thank you. It is awesome to have a new status level here on liquipedia. I'll make the best use of it. --DARKING 07:03, 6 July 2012 (KST)

Reviewing pages[edit]

This could be just a one time incident but try to be more careful when you are reviewing pages. You missed some a very obvious error in a revision. Try to look a bit longer next time :)! Thanks. http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/index.php?title=Pulse_Esports&action=historysubmit&diff=372596&oldid=372593 --Epoxide 03:32, 2 October 2012 (KST)

Ah, I see what you mean. Yeah, sorry, my bad ;P --DARKING 04:50, 2 October 2012 (KST)

IRC[edit]

Could you get on IRC? Useful if you wanna edit during live events and avoid edit conflicts. Cheers. --Pholon 20:35, 17 January 2013 (KST)

Removing skipped maps[edit]

Hey! I just wanted to bring you this to your attention. Please don't remove map-information we actually have. If it's TBD feel free to remove it. shz, Liquipedia Staff (Talk to me) 06:16, 15 May 2013 (KST)

All right, got it.--DARKING 06:59, 15 May 2013 (KST)
Thank you very much! Have a good one. shz, Liquipedia Staff (Talk to me) 20:03, 15 May 2013 (KST)

Re: UASL season 2[edit]

Thank you so much for the advice and the commentary. We've been trying to get this league off the ground and most of the management are new to liquipedia like myself. I'm not even part of management tbh, just representing one of the teams and thought I would try to update it as best I can or it would never be finished. Few questions however:

1. What if the player has an unkown country of origin? Many of the players come from both NA and SA. I'm trying to get all the countries I can as fast as I can, but it is a very diverse league and there is a language barrier. Also, as stated above, i'm not on the actual management.

2. When commenting about W.O. does that show up in the box? I've been trying to look at other pages and am still having some trouble with it.

Thank you so much for the help and for pointing that stuff out. I'll try to be better about it in the future as I get used to the site. XTStarFire (talk) 15:15, 31 July 2013 (CST)

Copa America[edit]

I made a google drive table of Copa America rankings you want it? mahousenshi where.

Sure, why not. It cannot hurt to have it avialable just in case. --DARKING (talk) 10:49, 10 August 2013 (KST)

Link

Just saying. I'm making a bracket helper that generate liquipedia code. If you wanna test/use go to my page there's a link to my program. It's works on all browser (i hope). If you find a error send me message.

Redireccionamiento Link[edit]

BUenas Darking:

--DARKING (talk) 14:20, 25 January 2014 (KST)

Men disculpa no entendí lo que me quisiste decir...puedes darme un ejemplo ...o poder hablar por skype?

ignacio.martin.espinace.coccolo --DaRSaiNT (talk) 06:32, 27 January 2014 (KST)

Thanks --DaRSaiNT (talk) 21:29, 27 January 2014 (KST)

Please Move Page[edit]

http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/User:ColdScars

Please move to main section. He has played in 5+ liquipedia link tournaments... Thus qualifying for main section. Please tell me how to move pages in future to main section, as i enjoy editing wiki as well. Thanks.

Go to the top of the page, and click the move tab. Then just select the mainspace and the name of the page to move it to. Also, when you talk in another's user talk page, please put your signature on it. --DARKING (talk) 14:41, 28 March 2014 (KST)

Stephano on EG?[edit]

Hi! Isn't Stephano still on EG? He literally wears their colors, is tweeted about them, and uses their overlays, etc.

As far as I know, no. No idea why he still uses the logo in his stream. Also don't forget to sign your posts --DARKING (talk) 03:01, 24 April 2014 (KST)

On EG's Twitter they mentioned "EG's Stephano and Demuslim..." and he still wears their jersey. I mean they've literally called him a part of EG https://twitter.com/EvilGeniuses/status/458704931415810048. Sorry about forgetting to sign -- Tomastaz

Derp finally realized what I was doing wrong sorry. --Tomastaz (talk) 09:54, 1 May 2014 (KST)

I have no idea what you are talking about. --DARKING (talk) 09:56, 1 May 2014 (KST)
I finally figured out how to sign my post T_T. But yeah anyway, Stephano is technically still on EG because EG still refers to him that way --Tomastaz (talk) 10:03, 1 May 2014 (KST)

HSC 9 Groups[edit]

Hi, I supposed you used the video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Okw_oB9wSPw) to enter the players for HSC 9. I just don't understand why the groups are not the same. On the video, first group is Snute+Stork+DseMusliM+White-Ra while on LP it is MMA+TLO+DeMsuliM+White-Ra. Same for groups B, C & D. Yhamm (talk) 06:04, 3 June 2014 (KST)

Hello. On a reddit thread for that video, the OP post in the comments the groups in the video were an early draft sent by mistake. He post the correct groups in the comments: http://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/2752us/the_groups_of_the_hsc_ix_discussed_by_tod_harstem/ --DARKING (talk) 06:17, 3 June 2014 (KST)
wow, lol, nice mistake... the video is half crap then :D Yhamm (talk) 06:22, 3 June 2014 (KST)

2014 MLG Anaheim/Open Winners' Bracket[edit]

Hey, you seem to know a lot about the players, their races and the country they are from, is there anyway to get the same information you have to help you a little bit with the bracket? Don't want to cause an edit war. :) --Hadi2289 (talk) 02:01, 21 June 2014 (CEST)

Most of the info is looking at liquipedia itself! Search player names to see if they have a previous appearance on some other tournament, team, or player page. --DARKING (talk) 09:05, 21 June 2014 (KST)

MLG Anaheim Open Bracket[edit]

Hey, MLG has one less round than us in the lower bracket with all byes. Please don't add new players to the Losers Bracket until I finish filling in the first round with byes. Take a look at bracket 1 to see what I mean. --Androxide (talk) 12:31, 21 June 2014 (KST)

No, our bracket is correct. What happens is that both winners round 1 and round 2 fall onto losers bracket round 1. Check http://www.majorleaguegaming.com/mlg-events/brackets/anaheim-2014/starcraft-2-open#Open-Losers --DARKING (talk) 12:33, 21 June 2014 (KST)
Their bracket has 9 rounds, ours has 10. What really happens is that all the losers from round 1 get a bye straight to losers round 2. Notice that our round 2 has a dropdown, while theirs doesn't because it is really our round 3. --Androxide (talk) 12:34, 21 June 2014 (KST)
Ok, I get what you're saying now. --DARKING (talk) 12:40, 21 June 2014 (KST)
I'll keep filling in byes, but if you want to add new players put them into the R2D_= variable instead of into round 1. --Androxide (talk) 12:44, 21 June 2014 (KST)

Copa América[edit]

Player transfer[edit]

Hi, When you add a player to the transfer list, please don't forget to update the player's page and the team's page too ;) --Yhamm (talk) 21:55, 30 September 2014 (KST)

Shakti[edit]

Hi, you put Shakti as Protoss in WCS LA Qualifier. Just want to confirm that it's not a mistake and he actually switched (from Zerg). --Inflicted (talk) 13:08, 16 January 2015 (KST)

  • Oh, I just read the edit history. Ignore this. --Inflicted (talk) 13:15, 16 January 2015 (KST)

rejected edits[edit]

Hello.

I want to know why my edits are rejected. Please see pictures in news article. Those are captured from broadcasting. Officially, SpoTV Games uses group names for seeded player's ID. Thanks. --Nano py (talk) 13:40, 17 July 2015 (KST)

Because I don't think they look good on the wiki. Not only it sounds weird, but we have practically used letters for the groups since forever. Even if SpoTV uses names, I think letters are better. Try to post on the liquipedia forums or ask on IRC, see what other people think, specially the higher ups. Should they deemed ok to name them that way, then sure go for it and use those nammes. In the meanwile I believe letters are better. --DARKING (talk) 16:19, 17 July 2015 (KST)
Thinking weird is not reasonable for rejecting. Most people think weird at first change such as appearance medivac for replacing medic and dropship at starcraft2. I showed you the reference for the fact. Is there any starcraft2 liquipedia policy that rejecting edits are OK for looking weird even if there are references? --Nano py (talk) 11:19, 18 July 2015 (KST)
Like I said previously, go talk to the other editors, particulary the higher ups. See what they have to say. --DARKING (talk) 11:30, 18 July 2015 (KST)
