Meta Plays
Meta Plays described itself as a "community platform for multiple RTS games." Currently it covers Age of Mythology, Age of Empires IV, Halo Wars 2, and Spell Force 3. Previously it also covered StarCraft II, and Warcraft III.
Tournaments[edit]
Meta Plays: Season 5 (AoM)[edit]
Season 5 was announced to be one long-term event.[1]
Meta Plays: Season 2 (AoE4)[edit]
The second season of Age of Empires IV consisted of three events: two qualifier and one main event.[2]

On March 22, 2023 they announced on discord to not host another AoE4 season due to various reason.
Meta Plays: Season 4 (AoM)[edit]
The length of the Age of Mythology League Season 4 was changed from 6 down to 4 months. At the end of the "Pro League" season the so-called "Main Event", featuring all the prize money, will take place. The top 8 performing players of the three monthly qualifiers (based on the awarded Meta Plays Ladder Points) are allowed to participate. There will also be a "Amateur League", formerly known as "Skirmish" events. It was also announced that this season would be played on Voobly again and that the season would alternate between Voobly and Extended Edition until the release of Age of Mythology: Retold.[3]
Meta Plays: Season 1 (AoE4)[edit]
The first season of Age of Empires IV consisted of four main events: three monthly events and a tournament final.[4]
Besides that, there also were "Skirmish" Tournaments for players with a maximum level of Platinum 3 in ranked ELO. On 25th September, however, it was announced that the Age of Empires IV Skirmish events for casual players were cancelled due to low sign ups. The only event that took place (on 28th August) was won by POPPINJIMBO ($10).
Meta Plays: Season 3 (AoM)[edit]
The main events of Age of Mythology League Season 3 are played on the Extended Edition.[5]
The "Skirmish" Tournaments for low ELO players on Extended Edition are also taking place again. These four side-events are crowd-funded and not cast by Meta Plays.
For the first time, there are also two 2v2 events, the so-called "Hands-Off" Tournaments. They are funded and covered by the community.
Meta Plays: Season 2 (AoM)[edit]
The Tournament League - the main series of the 2nd season of Age of Mythology - was played on The Titans (via Voobly).
There also was the first edition of a seperate and initially "non-stakes" league, played on Extended Edition.
In the announcement post, WarriorMario ($150) and Ippert ($100) were named as sponsors of Season 2.[6][7] More donations by other users followed.
There also was a Deathmatch League, which was not organized by Meta Plays, however, it was hosted on the Meta Plays platform and Ladder Points were awarded to the players. Actually it already was the 2nd edition of the Deathmatch_League but it was the first one to be featured on Meta Plays. Due to low participation and interest, it was later cancelled.
Meta Plays: Season 1 (AoM)[edit]
All Age of Mythology events of this series are played as 1v1 Supremacy matches on Voobly.[8][9]
