Baldr's Betrayal is an Age of Mythology 1v1 tournament. It is the fifth and final event of the Meta Plays Season 3 and is managed by fophuxake. The 16 best performing players of season 3 are invited to this event.

Schedule[edit]

Sign-ups close on November 4, 2022 - 11:00 GMT
- The 16 qualified players need to confirm their participation.
Each group is played on one day. All players of the same group have to agree.

Format[edit]

1 versus 1
Group Stage: 4 double-elimination groups, Bo3, two players advancing
Final Stage: 8 player single-elimination bracket
- All matches are Bo5 except the Final which is Bo7
Seeding is based on the Meta Plays Season 3 EE Ladder firstly, and the 1v1 Supremacy ELO secondly

Rules & Settings[edit]

Played with the Meta Plays Balance Mod
Gods: a player isn't allowed to repeat a god he/she already won a game with (within a series)
Maps:
- Map bans:
  - For Bo3/Bo5: One ban per player
  - For Bo7: Two bans per player
  - Lower seeded player starts banning
- G1: predetermined for each round
- G2 onwards: picked by the loser of previous game (no repeat)
1 veto for each player per series (has to be called before 1 minute ingame time)
More ingame rules (see the official website for details):
- No wall connector spamming
- No unnatural wall usage
- No Gaia Forests around Gold Mines or Settlements
- No hunt deleting
