Red Bull Wololo III is an Age of Empires II tournament hosted by Red Bull.

About[edit]

Two qualifiers were held for the event with open registration for 256 players for qualifier 1 and 512 players for qualifier 2. 4 players qualified from each qualifier to participate in the main event. There was no official stream for the qualifiers.

Format[edit]

All matches are played in the Empire Wars mode.
Rounds 1 & 2 (round of 512 & 256) is Bo1 on Arabia where players can pick any civ.
Rounds 3, 4 & 5 (round of 128, 64 and 32) is Bo3, without a draft before the series.
Round 6 is Bo5 with the draft noted below.
Round 7 is Bo7 with the draft noted below.

Civ Draft[edit]

Players alternate picking civs in the order of A, B, B, A, A etc. until 7 civs for Bo5, or 9 for Bo7.
Players then ban one of their opponents civs, leaving them with 6 civs to use over the 5 games (or 8 civs to use in a Bo7).
Players may not use a civ that they have drafted more than once.
