The Arena of Valor International Championship 2022 will be the sixth iteration under the AIC franchise, organized by Garena and Tencent. The prize pool has increased from last year from $ 1,000,000 to $ 2,000,000.

Starting from 2022, AIC will be moved back as a penultimate-level championship with AWC 2022 now represents the world championship.

Format[edit]

The Group Stage draw was held on May 8th, after the AOG Spring Grand Finals .

  • Group Stage - June 16th - 19th, 2022
    • 16 teams are divided into four groups of 4 teams.
    • Phase 1 - June 16th - 17th, 2022
      • Single Round-Robin, all matches are played in a Bo1
      • Top three teams of each group advance to Phase 2
      • Last placed teams are eliminated
    • Phase 2 - June 18th - 19th, 2022
      • Single Round-Robin, all matches are played in a Bo2 with Global Ban-Pick Rules
        • Winning 2-0 grants 3 points
        • Drawing 1-1 grants 1 point
        • Losing 0-2 grants 0 points
      • Top two teams of each group advance to Knockout Stage
      • Last placed teams are eliminated
  • Knockout Stage - June 23rd - July 10th, 2022
    • Double Elimination Bracket (except the one-off grand finals)
    • Knockout Stage Round 1 matches are played in a Bo5
    • All other matches are played in a Bo7
    • All matches are played with Global Ban-Pick Rules
