About[edit]

CS:GO Championship Series Season 1 will feature 12 top teams from around the world, eight from Europe and four from North America.
Ultimately, only the best four will fight for the Championship title during the LAN playoff that will take place in early October in Bucharest, Romania. [1]

Format[edit]

  • Online Group Stage: August 26th - September 11th, 2015
    • Nine invited teams.
    • Three slots are reserved for the qualifiers.
    • The 12 teams are divided into three groups of four (2 European, 1 North American)
    • The top team in each group will proceed direct to the Grand Finals.
    • The remaining European teams will proceed to a Last Chance Tournament for the last Grand Finals slot


  • Online Last Chance Qualifier: September 3rd - 4th, 2015
    • 6-team Double-elimination bracket
    • All matches (except the Grand Final) are Bo1
    • The Grand Final is Bo3


  • Offline Finals: October 2nd - 4th, 2015
    • Double-elimination bracket
    • The Semifinals and Winners' Finals are Bo3
    • The Grand Final is Bo5
