About[edit]

The Global CSGO Invite playoff bracket will be a best of three, eight team double elimination with four European and four North American teams. We also will see an expanding Invite All Star Game, evaluating potential side skills competitions events, and seeing how we can provide exciting content to the community. [1]

With Ninjas in Pyjamas out of the picture after deciding not to take part in the tournament, it was VeryGames who claimed bragging rights as they topped the table on 39 points, closely followed by über GEEKZ. UniversalSoldiers came in third place, while LGB eSports were able to fend off the threat of Astana Dragons and took the final European spot. This quartet will be joined by the top four sides from the North American league in the global finals, which are likely to take place during the first quarter of 2014 in Dallas.

The tournament will feature a total prize purse of $39,500, with the winner walking away with the $20,000 cheque. [2]

Format[edit]

  • Double-elimination bracket BO3.
  • Grand final double BO3, the team coming from the winner bracket starts with one BO3 advantage.

Prize Pool[edit]

$39,500 USD are spread among the teams as seen below:

All-Star Game[edit]

This season's Invite All-Star Game will start off with two captains being picked by ESEA Staff. One captain will come from North America's #1 Seed, compLexity, and the other will come from Europe's #1 seed, Titan eSports (VeryGames). Once these players have been selected, a draft style pick will determine the teams. The players are not allowed to pick their own teammates, but anyone else is fair game.
