ESL One: Cologne 2018 is the fifth time ESL's headline event returns to Germany, once again in the Lanxess-Arena, with 16 teams competing for a share of the $300,000 USD prize pool as well as the opportunity of another tournament win towards the first season of the Intel Grand Slam.

- Group Stage: July 3rd - 5th, 2018
- Two double-elimination format groups
- Each group has eight teams
- The group stage is seeded based on the ESL CS:GO World Rankings
- The initial matches are Bo1
- All following matches are Bo3
- The top three teams from each group advance to the Playoffs:
- Group stage winners advance to the Semifinals
- Group stage runners-up advance to the Quarterfinals as the High Seeds
- Group stage 3rd place teams advance to the Quarterfinals as the Low Seeds
- Two double-elimination format groups
- Playoffs: July 6th - 8th, 2018
- Single-elimination bracket
