FACEIT League 2015 Stage I Finals
Group Stage (Bo3)
Single-Elimination Bracket (Bo3+Bo5)
FACEIT continue to release information about their 2015 League, and today's news sees an announcement of a $275,000 prize pool. After an announcement last month about the commencement of this year's league, FACEIT have released more information about the 2015 season, which will run for a total of nine months and begins this month in February. The largest asterisk is the $275,000 prize pool, which represents a steep increase over the total prizemoney of FACEIT's previous seasons. Even when split over three LAN events and nine months, this total now stands as the largest league prize pool in CS:GO history.
Another addition to the league will be the involvement of the Oceania region, which comes in tandem with FACEIT's announcement of an Oceania League earlier this week. The 2015 season will see three stages of action. The first two stages will entail LAN events which will determine the teams that progress to the ensuing stage. Each event will be split between the top five teams in the European League, the top two teams in North America and the winner of the Oceania League. The third stage will culminate toward the year's end with a Grand Finals event.
Finally, the leagues will feature a promotion/demotion system and qualifiers to determine which teams can step forward to take part in the next stage. More information about these qualifiers is forthcoming.
Prize purse and money breakdown were not revealed by FACEIT.
