Fragbite is the biggest Swedish website about esport news with 100,000 to 175,000[1] unique visitors weekly.
About[edit]
Fragbite was founded in 2002 by brothers Tomas "samot" Hansson and Filip "flpee" Hansson, and officially launched on November 1. In the beginning the focus was articles, interviews and news about Counter-Strike and other shooters. In January 2011, it was announced that the Swedish news-site Nyheter24 had bought Fragbite.
In September 2012, it was announced that André "rich" Åkerblom would be the new editor-in-chief. [2]
In July 2017, Per "Xerm" Sjölin took over as editor-in-chief to replace the outgoing Åkerblom. November 2017 saw the announcement of a "new era" for Fragbite, as they looked to engage their English speaking audience. [3] The site later returned to a Swedish-only portal in 2018, with Sjölin leaving to work at DreamHack.
