Intel Extreme Masters XIII - Shanghai is the second tournament of Season XIII and the first IEM CS:GO tournament to be held in China. Despite featuring a $250,000 USD prize pool and 8 teams, the event will not be part of the Intel Grand Slam due to happening during the player break.

- Each group will have 4 teams
- The group stage are seeded based on the ESL CS:GO World Rankings
- Opening matches are Bo1
- All following matches are Bo3
- The top two teams from each group advance to the Playoffs
- Two double-elimination format (GSL) Groups
- Playoffs: August 4th - 6th, 2018
