Derrick "LILMAN" Boyne (born November 26, 1993) is a Canadian Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player who is currently the manager of NRG Esports's CS:GO team. Additionally, he currently plays with North American steam team Old Guys Club.

Professional Career[edit]

First Steps[edit]

LILMAN was first discovered when he was most notably standing in for Counter Logic Gaming during Northern Arena 2015. He stood in for James "hazed" Cobb but only for the group period of the tournament, as hazed would be back in action by the time the playoffs began and they would later win the tournament over compLexity Gaming who were also using a stand-in in the form of their coach, Matt "Warden" Dickins at the time.

Forming Rush & joining NRG Esports[edit]

After his time standing in occasionally for CLG, he would play in Rush as the in-game leader, for a season of ESEA Main and for two seasons of ESEA Premier. During ESEA Season 22 Premier, Rush would be acquired by Pnda Gaming and they would play under the banner at the ESEA Season 22: Global Challenge. Pnda Gaming's sponsorship with LILMAN's team would later come to an end with the team reverting to Rush. They would later place in the top 2 of ESEA Season 23 Premier, upsetting Luminosity Gaming who were most favoured to take the position over them. Their top 2 placing would allow them to qualify for the ESEA Season 23: Global Challenge, alongside a LAN match against Team SoloMid to determine the winner of ESEA Season 23 Premier, also granting the winning team a place in the upcoming ESL Pro League Season 5. Despite Rush losing to TSM in the North America Premier Finals, they were given a second chance through ESL Pro League Season 4 - North America: Relegation. Rush would play against Splyce and would also defeat them to take over their spot in the ESL Pro League.

During the ESL Pro League, Rush's results as a team in the league were not very good compared to any other team and they were at risk of direct relegation back into ESEA Premier. Despite making a few roster changes during the league, they would place high enough to be able to play the ESL Pro League Season 5 Relegation, however LILMAN would make his move to NRG Esports on a trial basis to replace Edgar "MarkE" Jimenez. With this new team, he would place 4th in the league, qualifying for the ESL Pro League Season 5 Finals in Dallas, Texas. Their results at the LAN finals were very poor compared to their pro league score, despite also being able to play against European opposition who had qualified from the European division. NRG Esports would place last with a 0-5 record, a 16-19 loss to OpTic Gaming, 7-16 to North, 13-16 to Team Liquid, 5-16 to Natus Vincere and 10-16 to mousesports.

After continuous failure to achieve good results as a team, including failing to qualify for ECS Season 3 Finals and more importantly, failing to make it out of the group stage of the Americas Minor Championship - Kraków 2017, LILMAN would have his trial end with him not making a permanent spot on the team as he would later be replaced by the former Team Singularity Dane, Allan "AnJ" Jensen. After his trial on NRG he joined the Canadian team SubtLe. After the conclusion of MDL Season 27 he stepped down from team and retired. This was short lived before he joined Swole Patrol in place of ryann, thus returning to competitive play.
