Red Reserve is an American gaming entertainment brand, best known for their roots in the Call of Duty sniping community. They became an eSports organization in December of 2016 after acquiring a former eUnited player and three former compLexity players in the Call of Duty scene at the time. Red Reserve had lost this lineup in February of 2017, but days after, they had merged with the Swedish organization, Orbit Esport - resulting in all of their current rosters moving over to Red Reserve. After the merging, Red Reserve were treated with a European Call of Duty roster and a Brazilian Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster living in Sweden. In May 2017 Red Reserve signed an all-Swedish Roster, releasing the remainders of their former Brazilian squad.

On November 1, 2014, FaZe Clan uploaded a Call of Duty sniping montage entitled '#RED'[1]. The Organization would later go on to announce the founding of the team known as Red Reserve as a sub-team to the clan. The team would then start to upload Call of Duty sniper montages to their YouTube channel, the first being the announcement of the team.[2] They would go on to continue uploading these montages partnered with FaZe Clan until sometime around June 2016, where they would cut their ties with FaZe to explore other opportunities under their own banner, including merchandise and esports. Soon after their split, Red Reserve would merge with Orbit Esport, signing their Brazilian CS:GO roster. After the Brazilian team disbanded, Red Reserve went on to sign the Swedish team passions.

Since then, former NiP star Mikal "Maikelele" Bill joined the squad as a replacement for fellow Swede xajdish, with the transfer being finalised on June 4th 2017. The roster stayed the same after this, and showed promise, after placing 2nd at the Nvidia GeForce Cup and at Dreamhack Valencia. Despite showing promise, the team failed to qualify for several big events, including Dreamhack Masters Malmö and the ELEAGUE Premier 2017. As a result of this, hampus departed the team on August 20th in search of greener pastures, but failed to find another team. slap stood in for the team during this period, but 11 days later the entire squad, left the organisation due to internal problems that could not be fixed by the organization. This caused passions to reform, alongside fellow former teammate hampus in place of Maikelele and with coach djL becoming a player again. Since then, hampus and RuStY parted ways with the rest of the team, forming a new passions team, whilst the previous core stayed together but began playing under the name of Japaleno.

Since then, on October 26th 2017, Red Reserve acquired the roster of Japaleno, and former Fnatic Academy player Bååten to complete the lineup.

  • March 29th - Red Reserve add Chrille as coach. [10]
  • May 18th - Red Reserve part ways with their roster. [11]
