Overview[edit]
The World Cyber Arena (WCA) is one of the premier organizers of global eSports tournaments. With the announcement of the WCA2015 competition, the bar has been raised for global eSports events. With a prize pool totaling $3.9 million dollars, the comprehensive series will feature four separate titles with invite-only Pro Qualifiers and Open Qualifiers. Players compete for cash and--the ultimate prize--a trip to Yinchuan, China, to play at the WCA2015 Finals for their share of the massive $1.9 million Finals prize pool across all titles.
Pro and Open Qualifiers will be held in Europe for WarCraft III, CrossFire, Dota 2, Hearthstone, and Heroes of The Storm. Players and teams will be invited to the exclusive Pro Bracket, where they will compete online until only the top remain. Those top finishers from WarCraft III, Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm will compete live at gamescom, Cologne, Germany, for cash and a trip to China, along with a direct seed in the Finals. [1]
