9 Heroic announces that Denmark JUGi will be going inactive due to personal reasons for an undisclosed period of time. Denmark es3tag returns to the active roster to take his place. [18]
10 Argentina Straka replaces Argentina Zote on Isurus Gaming. [19]
11 Kazakhstan w1nt3r joins B.O.O.T-dream[S]cape. [20]
12 Chiefs eSports Club, B.O.O.T-dream[S]cape, Heroic, and Gambit Esports pull out of the event after the dates are announced due to conflicting schedules. [3]
13 Recca Esports and AGO Esports are announced as replacement teams for their regions. [3]
14 Isurus Gaming announce their withdrawal from the tournament due to conflicting schedules and the poor organization from WCA. [4]
15 Team One is announced as Isurus Gaming's replacement. [21]

17 AGO Esports, Luminosity Gaming, and Valour eSports announce that they are pulling out of the event. [5]
18 The China Qualifier and the WIld Card Qualifier are cancelled, and IMBA.SAS, Quantum Bellator Fire, and VG.FlashGaming are invited as replacements. [23]
19 World Cyber Arena announces that due to the nationality of the majority of the players on Next Generation, they were not able to get visas to the event. As a result, Next Generation, with the exception of Jordan Viper, will play with a roster of stand-ins. [24]
