Convictus Esports is a collabration with blackshatan, AKracing, Evolution Events and Zen Gaming to provide Australia's biggest Dota 2 event. The tournament presents a $50,000 AUD prizepool featuring eight teams from Australia, China, South-East Asia, including two international invitationals at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre on 8-9 December. [1] Tickets for the event would be available in June. [2] The top two of each qualifier head to the finals.

On the 5th July, it was announced that the Australia Qualifiers would take place on the 15th and 16th of September. FACEIT would be handling the qualifiers. [3]

On the 29th August, 2018, BeyondTheSummit was announced as their streaming partner. [4]

Format[edit]

  • Single Elimination Bracket in a Bo1 format.
    • All matches are Bo1 and the semi-final matches are Bo3.
    • The top two qualify for the Main Event in December.
