- 1 OG, Evil Geniuses, and Team Secret withdrew on 6 October 2016 due to timing conflicts with the Boston Major.[1][2][3] They were replaced by Virtus.pro, The Imperial and Team NP.[4]
- 2 Natus Vincere withdrew on 31 October 2016 and was replaced by Ad Finem, who kept Navi's 1-1 score.[5]
- 3 Team NP withdrew on 3 November 2016 and was not replaced, automatically forfeiting all of their games.[6]
- 4 Virtus.pro withdrew on 10 November 2016. They lost their $10,000 (redistributed into the playoff prize pool) and were replaced by Alliance in the playoffs.[7]
