Healing restores a unit's missing hit points. Healing a unit at maximum hp has no effect. Healing allows units to stay alive longer on the battlefield and reduces the need to return to the fountain.

Healing can be gained through abilities, hit point regeneration, and lifesteal.

Non-Healing Health Gain[edit]

The following abilities do not count as healing and circumvent the anti-healing effect of Ice Blast and False Promise, while also not contributing anything to heal amplifiers such as Ghost Shroud and False Promise's end.

Health Percentage Change[edit]

When additional strength or a flat hp bonus is gained, the current hp of the unit is saved as a percentage of maximum hp. Current hp changes to match that percentage whenever maximum hp increases or decreases. The following abilities maintain percentage at all times, regardless of anti-heal effects. Does not count as healing.
