Chronology
The tenth issue of Mars Media's flagship tournament will be the MDL Chengdu Major. It will be the first Major of the 2019/20 DPC Season and MDL's overall third Major. In November 2019, sixteen of the world's best teams will compete in the "Panda Capital" for their share of valuable DPC points to qualify for The International 2020 and the $1,000,000 USD prize pool.[1]
Format[edit]
- Participants:
- Fifteen Teams from Regional Qualifiers
- Three teams each from Europe, China and Southeast Asia
- Two teams each from CIS, North and South America
- One team as champion of DOTA Summit 11
- Fifteen Teams from Regional Qualifiers
- Group Stage - November 16-17th
- Four GSL groups
- All games are Bo3
- Top two teams advance to the Upper Bracket of the playoffs
- Bottom two teams advance to the Lower Bracket of the playoffs
- Playoffs - November 18-24th
- Double elimination bracket
- Only the final three days will be in front of a live crowd.
- First round of the Lower Bracket are Bo1
- All other games are Bo3
- Bo5 Grand Finals
