María "Tainim" García is a Spanish-language caster from Spain.

Biography[edit]

Tainim was first introduced to Dota 2 after watching DreamHack Valencia, becoming a fan of Dendi. She later attended The International 2013, and decided she wanted to contribute to the scene. In 2014, she began writing articles about Dota 2 as a hobby, and was noticed by a company called Xataka Esports, going on to write 700 news articles, guides and interviews for them over 3 years.[1]

With the knowledge of the game gained via her work, she decided to take the next step up into commentary. ESL Spain gave her an opportunity in 2017 to commentate at ESL One Genting 2017, and in 2018, she was offered a role on the Spanish team for The International 2018.[1]

Since then, Tainim has been a regular analyst and commentator on Spanish broadcasts, particularly for ESL One, and was a regular commentator throughout the Dota Pro Circuit between 2021 and 2023. She has also performed host work during The International, since 2021.
