Rizzrack, the Timbersaw[edit]
Rizzrack could still hear the screams in his mind. He worked, frantically turning wrenches, twisting screws, building and carving and forging. Sleep eluded him; he only built. Months had passed since he had shut himself in his uncle's workshop, and his deliverance was nearly complete. He rubbed his back as his eyes drifted shut, and saw a blanket of flowers floating on the placid waves of Augury Bay before exploding into a cloud of pollen that silenced lives as it seized the lungs. He woke with a choking start. For hours the rhythmic sound of a whetstone filled the shop as he sharpened a set of massive blades, his mind filled with images of strangling vines garroting neighbors, enwrapping homes. The flooding of Augury Bay had been nothing compared to the violent horrors the waters left to take root beyond the city walls. But the saw-suit would make him strong and safe he thought, allowing himself this sliver of hope before the full might of his fear crashed into his fading mind. Branches and blood. When the city fell, Rizzrack fled trees that walked, and fought, and killed. Trees had shattered the gates and swarmed into the city. Trees had crushed and thrashed and stomped the last that Augury Bay could muster in defense, and stalked the few fleeing refugees. In addled silence Rizzrack unspooled the thick chain from the suit's arm, his hands quaking as he inspected each link and ran a trembling finger along the claw attached at its end.
The saw-suit was ready.
With his hand trembling he sparked the bladed machine to life. Terror drove him, terror of what awaited him and of what he would have to face to have any hope of calming his mind. As the saw-suit shuddered to life he knew he must face this fear, and he knew he wouldn't like it one bit.
Abilities[edit]
Timbersaw whirls extremely sharp edges, damaging enemies and destroying trees around him in an area. If an enemy hero is affected, it loses some of its primary attribute for a short duration. Deals extra damage if a tree is cut down in the process.

Notes
- Attribute loss debuff can be applied multiple times to an enemy. Each debuff tracks its duration separately.
- Attribute loss stacks additively, but cannot reduce an attribute below zero.
- Destroys trees.
Timbersaw fires a chain that embeds itself in the first tree it hits, pulling him towards it. Any enemy in the path takes damage.

General Strategy[edit]
Elusive and unpredictable, Timbersaw chops through the forest to face his foes. Unleashing an arsenal of saw blades to cut enemies to pieces, he rides his chain into nearby trees and batters foes along the way.
Timbersaw (In-Game Description)
Overview
Timbersaw is a durable initiator with great team fighting and positioning skills.

Timbersaw can be skilled in many different ways, depending on the situation. Most of the times you level Timber Chain at level 1 to position yourself and escape, but in certain situations where you'll be heavily harassed you can level Reactive Armor at level 1.
Generally you want to max Timber Chain first, and Whirling Death second, with points into Reactive Armor to survive the offlane if needed. Try not to put too many points into Reactive Armor, as it will decrease your nuking potential a lot. Level your ultimate whenever you can.
Whirling Death is a decent nuke with some side effects. When he uses Whirling Death it damages everyone around him and destroys trees in a 300 radius, a bit more than double of his attack range. If he hits a tree with his skill the damage turns into Pure damage, increasing the damage it does. It also reduces the primary attribute by 15% of everyone that he hits for 7 seconds. This means that he does 15% more damage to Strength heroes, while Agility heroes will lose some Armor and Attack Speed, and Intelligence heroes lose some of their mana pool.
Timber Chain is his main positioning and escape skill. He targets a tree with it, and when the chain connects to a tree he gets hooked to that tree, damaging everyone in the way. The damage doesn't scale too well, but the range and speed of the chain scale great. It has a very short cooldown as well, to get him in the middle or out of the fight as needed. Be careful not to get caught out where there are no trees, as this skill will not save you then.
Reactive armor is his defensive skill. Every time you get hit, you get a stack of Reactive Armor, giving him 1 HP per second and 1 armor for 16 seconds. This is the skill that makes him very durable in long fights, increasing your survivability with every hit he takes. Since Timbersaw has low base armor, he is suspectible to physical damage in the beginning of the fight. Try to be on the frontline of the battle as much as you can, protecting weaker allies behind you.
Chakram is Timbersaw's ultimate skill. He targets a location on the ground, firing his saw blade. The saw blade keeps on spinning on that location, dealing damage and slowing, until he retracts it. This skill disarms him, making him unable to attack. It does Pure damage to every enemy it passes when fired and retracted, giving him great nuke potential. Be sure to fire and retract the blade as many times as you possibly can in a fight. Leaving it in one place during a fight reduces your potential damage a lot. Don't forget about the slow, it slows more if the unit in it is on lower HP and can slow from 1200 range.
Early Game
Timbersaw is mostly used in the solo offlane. He used to be played in mid, but this has fallen out of favor a bit. Your job in the offlane is to soak up as much XP as you possibly can, preferably without dying. Gold is less important at this stage of the game. You want to get Arcane Boots as a first item. If you're being harassed a lot a Magic Wand can help you survive, or even a Ring of Regen since you'll be building into a Soul Ring --> Bloodstone later. Be sure to look out for an early kill you can get, since many people underestimate Timbersaws early nuking potential. Timber Chain through an enemy, using Whirling Death when passing over him. This can do up to 400 damage early, even more when you use Chakram. Timbersaw is quite durable and can tank a few tower hits, but do not overextend against a solid disabler.
Mid Game
By now Arcane Boots should be completed. Start building towards your Bloodstone, preferably getting a Point Booster and Vitality Booster first. If you're winning fights a lot in this stage of the game a Perseverance can help you lessen the downtime between these fights. Be sure to disassemble the Arcane Boots to get the Energy Booster, to complete your Bloodstone earlier.
Timbersaw thrives on team fighting, getting him the needed Gold and XP. Your job is to be in the front of the fight, using all 3 of your nukes to do as much damage as you can. Soak up as much damage as you can to protect your allies. If you're getting disabled a lot, a Black King Bar is never a bad idea. Abuse his low cooldowns, and rack up as many Bloodstone charges as you can. Boots of Travel after you disassembled your Arcane Boots make sure that you're always where you're needed. If you find yourself lacking some gold a Blademail is a cheap item to even out the team fights. A Pipe of Insight can help against heavy nukers on the enemy team. Shiva's Guard gives you another nuke and slow, and the armor to make up for your low base armor without Reactive Armor.
Timbersaw can easily tank Roshan thanks to Reactive Armor, but is not the best hero to contest Roshan with. The area lacks trees, making it dangerous to initiate there. You can still use your other skills to do heavy damage, but chaining in and out will be more difficult.
Timbersaw can easily nuke down creep waves to get gold. Even though a Bloodstone is most of what Timbersaw needs, some extra items will always help. Be sure not to take farm away from those that need it more than you, since Timbersaw can easily fight with only 1 item.
Late Game
Timbersaw is not the best character to break the enemy tier 3 tower with, thanks to the lack of trees in the base. Chakram gives you a good poking skill, lowering the enemy's HP in defending and sieging situations. When you're attacking the enemy inner towers, remember that Timbersaw can tank these for a while.
