Wawitas Sagazes was a South American Dota 2 team. It was formed after the conclusion of The International 2023, aiming to qualify for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 via the South America Closed Qualifiers, having received a direct invite. There, they beat Infinity 3-1 in the Grand Finals to qualify.

After the tournament, the team decided to split up, despite only playing in one tournament, with the players moving to larger organizations. The core players Lumière, DarkMago and Oscar moved to Thunder Awaken, while the support players n1ght and Panda, as well as coach Vintage, moved to BOOM Esports.

Trivia[edit]

  • "Wawita" is the diminutive term of "wawa" in Quechua, meaning "little baby". "Sagazes" is the Portuguese plural form of "sagaz", meaning "sagacious", "visionary", or "astute". Together, this means the team's name roughly-translates to "clever babies".
