About WePlay Esports[edit]

WePlay Esports is an international esports tournament operator with headquarters in Los Angeles, U.S., and Kyiv, Ukraine. The company’s debut international Dota 2 tournament was the WePlay Dota 2 League Season 1 in 2013. Three years later, WePlay Esports put on its first LAN Dota 2 tournament in Kyiv. Although WePlay Esports has become known as an organizer of Dota 2 esports tournaments, it also works with other disciplines, including CS:GO, Rocket League, Valorant, and others.

WePlay! Bukovel Minor is a Dota Pro Circuit tournament with a prize pool of $300,000 arranged by WePlay Esports in 2020 at a ski resort in Ukraine. The tournament had 233,000 spectators at its peak and gained 5 484 237 hours watched.[1]

WePlay! Mad Moon took place in Kyiv in February 2020. WePlay Esports invited eight teams from different regions to participate in the Dota 2 tournament with a prize pool of $300,000. WePlay! Mad Moon had a peak of 295,110 concurrent viewers.[2] Many remember this event the most because of the teams that would arrive on stage in the #madmoontruck.[3]

WeSave! Charity Play is a charity Dota 2 marathon with a prize pool of $120,000 plus all the donations and revenue gathered throughout the event. The tournament gathered 24 teams from six competitive regions. Each region was represented by four teams. The tournament equally divided the total prize pool and all the funds donated during the broadcast among Global Giving и CEPI to aid efforts of fighting COVID-19.

WePlay! Pushka League is an online tournament consisting of two divisions. Division 1 featured 14 teams with a prize pool of $250,000. Division 2 featured eight teams and had a prize pool of $5,000.

OMEGA League is an online tournament with a prize pool of $650,000. After The International was canceled, several tournament operators teamed up to hold the 46-day-long online Dota 2 tournament. Along with Epic Esports Events, WePlay Esports has invited 56 teams from Europe, CIS, North and South Americas, and Southeast Asia. The OMEGA League was broadcast in eight languages, and the final match between OG and Team Secret had 412,391 concurrent viewers at its peak.[4]

WePlay AniMajor is the second Dota 2 Major of the Dota Pro Circuit in 2021. The anime-themed tournament with a prize pool of $500,000 and 2,700 DPC points brought together 18 teams. It was the first event that WePlay Esports held at the WePlay Esports Arena Kyiv. WePlay AniMajor had a peak of 645,141 concurrent viewers and scored over 37 million hours watched according to Esports Charts.[5]
