Capcom Pro Tour 2023 (CPT 2023) was the 10th season of Street Fighter tournaments officially sponsored by Capcom. The 2023 edition was the launch circuit for Street Fighter 6, with the overall prize pool being more than 2 million dollars.[1]

Format[edit]

The 2023 CPT was similar to the 2022 format, featuring Online and Offline Premier tournaments, as well as the World Warrior circuit. In total, 48 players qualified for Capcom Cup X:

  • The winners of the 3 Offline Premier tournaments, including EVO 2023
  • The winners of the 18 Online Premier tournaments
  • The winners of the 26 Regional Finals, which culminate from each region's World Warrior circuits
  • The winner of the Last Chance Qualifier, held in the same week as Capcom Cup

World Warrior[edit]

The World Warrior circuit was divided into 26 different regions. 5 online tournaments were held in each region, with each of these tournaments awarding points (as shown in the below table) used to rank the players on the region's leaderboards.

If two or more players tied in point total, the following tiebreakers were applied in order:

  1. Highest placement at any World Warrior tournament
  2. Number of times achieving the highest placement at World Warrior tournaments
  3. Comparison of other placements at World Warrior tournaments
  4. If two players are tied, a Ft2 set will be played. If more than two players are tied, lots will be drawn.

The top 8 players from each regional leaderboard advanced to their respective online Regional Final. The top 4 players were seeded into the winners side of the double-elimination bracket, with the remaining 4 players being seeded into the losers side. The winner of each Regional Final qualified for Capcom Cup X.
