Barnes is at its best when it summons minions with high impact effects like Ragnaros or Emperor Thaurissan, that most of the time are going to be removed after one turn but are still played because of their power. Cards summoned via Barnes' effect do not have their Battlecry effects go off, so players might want to emphasise minions with other effects, such as Deathrattles.
