SEA Majors 2016 - Singapore is a three-day tournament with a $5,000 prize pool.
Overview[edit]
SEA Majors 2016 - Singapore is geared towards giving Asia-Pacific players a local, offline competitive experience while giving them a chance earn HCT points towards the season that the major falls on. There will also be various side activities available at the venue for those who wish to simply be a part of the community.[1]
Information[edit]
The Singapore Major will be held over three days at the Bunc Hostel in Little India, open to up to 256 participants across Asia-Pacific (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, India, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Australia, New Zealand & Japan). A limited number of accommodations will be provided for competitors who are not from the host country.

Accomodations[edit]
- Free accommodations will be available from 2016-04-07 (Thursday) until 2016-04-11 (Monday).
- A deposit is needed to reserve a room, but it will be refunded after the tournament.
- After verification of participation the deposit will be refunded within 30 days after the end of the tournament.

Community Poll[edit]
To celebrate the recent conclusion of the Winter Preliminaries – the top 32 players in SEA had a chance to win a free trip to the Singapore Major. They were put into a community poll by country, where the winner will be flown in for free. While vote nominees have been drawn from the Top 32 players of the SEA Winter Preliminary, only countries with more than three eligible nominees were qualified for the poll. There was also a People’s Choice vote, where it was possible to vote for any player regardless of the country they were from. The most popular player – the community’s choice – will also be flown down to compete. Voting ended on Tuesday, 22nd March at 11:59PM (GMT+8)
