From Liquipedia Hearthstone Wiki

Spells are cards whom are playable to trigger an effect listed on the card's text. A spell is a one-time usable ability and will then not be usable again as the card will disappear from the game board. Spells do not have a value for Attack nor Health. They are playable cards like Minion or Equipment cards.
