The 2018 Asian Games is a continental multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from all over Asia. The event is recognized by the International Olympic Committee as the second largest multi-sport event after the Olympics. The 2018 edition will host League of Legends as an Official Demonstration Sport and will feature the national teams selected by the 45 members of the Olympic Council of Asia.

Format[edit]

  • 8 teams
    • The host nation of Indonesia will receive an automatic invite. The team was selected by a head coach (Cruzher) from LGS voted by LoL Esports Indonesia.[1][2]
    • Winners of the South East Asia, South Asia, Central Asia and West Asia Qualifiers.
    • The top 3 teams of the East Asia Qualifier.
  • Group Stage
    • Double round robin Bo1
    • Top 2 teams of each group advances to Playoffs.
  • Playoffs
    • Single-elimination bracket
    • Semifinals are Bo3
    • Finals and 3rd place match are Bo5
