Cloud9 is an American esports organization currently fielding teams in Counter-Strike, Halo, Hearthstone, League of Legends, Overwatch, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Teamfight Tatics, Tekken, and Valorant.
History[edit]
In 2013, Cloud9 started out as a small League of Legends team in the North American scene. Initially known as Team NomNomNom, the team was formed following the dissolution of Quantic Gaming.
Despite facing initial challenges and roster changes, Cloud9 eventually qualified for the NA LCS 2013 Summer Season, where they achieved a 25-3 regular season record. After that, Jack Etienne, the current Owner and General Manager, decided to officially found the organization. [1] They represented North America at the 2013 World Championship and reached the quarter-finals before being defeated by Fnatic. Ever since, the team has grown exponentially over the years.
The team is a 6-time NA LCS champion, a one time Worlds semi-finalist and reached the Worlds quarter-finals 4 times.
