History[edit]

In 2017, DAMWON Gaming acquired MiRaGe Gaming's CK Summer 2017 slot. They revealed a roster of Parang, Crush, Boroona, BeryL and Hoit, which would be their starting line-up heading into the season. Halfway through the season, CooN also joined the team to finish the line-up for this split. Their debut season would end up in 5th place, with a balanced 7/-/7 scoreline in the regular season. This resulted in changes heading into the 2017 KeSPA Cup, with Nuguri and ShowMaker joining the starting line-up, while Alive replaced BeryL as starting ADC. The team went on to beat Kongdoo Monster, before losing against Jin Air Green Wings to place 9-12th.

In Spring 2018, BeryL would return to the starting roster as a support player. The rest of the roster stayed the same, and despite the team making playoffs this time, they still placed 4-5th following a loss against Ever8 Winners. In Summer 2018, Nuclear joined the team as the new starting AD Carry, while Punch would take on the jungle position. These changes were crucial steps in the team's road to the LCK, with them securing the CK 2018 Summer championship and a spot in the LCK 2019 Spring Promotion Tournament. With wins against bbq Olivers and Team BattleComics, DAMWON Gaming finally made it to the LCK.

DAMWON's LCK debut started in the LCK 2019 Spring Split, with Canyon joining the team to complete the 5 man roster of Nuguri, Canyon, ShowMaker, Nuclear and BeryL. They eventually placed 4th following a playoffs loss against KING-ZONE DragonX. Resuming with the same roster in Summer, DAMWON Gaming placed third and qualified for the regional finals. This is where they beat KING-ZONE DragonX 3-2 in the finals, securing them a slot to worlds in their debut year. At Worlds 2019, DAMWON Gaming finished in the quarter finals following a loss against tournament runner-ups G2 Esports.

DAMWON Gaming kept the same roster heading into 2020, and placed 4th in the 2020 Spring Split. In Summer 2020, DAMWON Gaming won their first LCK title and secured a direct qualification to Worlds 2020. They managed to drop just 3 games in the entire tournament, going 5-1 in groups, beating DRX 3-0, G2 Esports 3-1, and eventually Suning 3-1 to secure themselves the 2020 World Championship title. Heading into 2021, Khan joined the team as a replacement for Nuguri, who left for FunPlus Phoenix at the end of the 2020 season. With this new 5-man roster, DAMWON Gaming managed to win the 2020 KeSPA Cup, LCK 2021 Spring Split and LCK 2021 Summer Split, with a second place at MSI 2021. With these results, the team secured a direct invite to Worlds 2021 where they are looking to reclaim their title of the world's best. DAMWON Gaming went undefeated in their group, beating Cloud9, Rogue and FunPlus Phoenix twice. After wins in against MAD Lions and T1, they faced off against EDward Gaming, they lost the grand finals in a 5-game fashion, failing to defend their world championship title.

In the offseason ahead of 2022, DAMWON Gaming announced that Khan would retire, later on becoming a streamer for the organisation. Burdol and Hoya would become the new toplaners for the team, while Ghost and BeryL left the team. Replacing them are Nongshim RedForce botlane duo deokdam and Kellin. The team would place 3rd in the 2022 LCK Spring split, losing against Gen.G Esports. Ahead of summer, Nuguri returned to the team.

DAMWON Gaming rebranded to Dplus ahead of the 2023 season. [13]
