Kazuta "Kazu" Suzuki (born May 25, 1994) is a retired Japanese/French coach and support.

History[edit]

In the 2018 LJL Summer Split, Kazu became a coach for DetonatioN FocusMe.

In the 2021 LJL Spring Split, Kazu, after coaching for multiple years, played support for DetonatioN FocusMe. This was because the team's preferred starting roster contained 3 Korean players, so Gaeng, the starting support, was kept on the bench for the split. Kazu also played in the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational. In the 2021 LJL Summer Split, Steal gained Japanese residency, so Gaeng was able to rejoin the starting roster. Kazu was subsequently listed as a coach for the team during the 2021 World Championship.[1]

During the LJL 2023 Summer season, tol2 made public tweets about being verbally abused by the coaching staff of DetonatioN FocusMe, which led to the organization and Riot Games investigating the situation, which resulted in DetonatioN terminating its contracts with the coaches implicated in the tweets, Kazu and Ceros, with the two also being suspended for six months. [2]

On February 17th, 2024, Kazu announced his retirement. [3]
