MAL Malaysia (also known as MAL MY) is a second-tier Professional League in Malaysia.

Format[edit]

Regular Season:
- 16 teams split into 2 Conference
- Affiliated Conference will consists 8 of MPL-affiliated Teams.
- Challenger Conference will consists 8 teams:
  - 5 teams from MAL S1 (#2 - #6)
  - 1 teams relegated from MPL MY S13
  - 2 teams from MAL S2 Qualifier
  - All matches are played in Bo2
    - Earned 2 points for winning 2-0 games
    - Earned 1 points for tie 1-1 games
    - Earned 0 point for losing 0-2 games
- Phase 1 - September 2nd - September 24th, 2024:
  - Teams in same group will play against each other. Single Round Robin.
  - Top 6 from each conference advances to Phase 2.
- Phase 2 - September 25th - October 10th, 2024:
  - Teams from Affiliated Conference will play against team from Challenger Conference. Single Round Robin.
  - Top 4 from each conference advances to Playoffs.

Playoffs: October 24th - October 27th, 2024 in University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) Kuala Lumpur
- Single Elimination
- There will be 2 play-in rounds during this playoffs
  - Play-Ins 1: The teams with the highest points in each conference throughout the regular season get to choose their opponent (ranked 3rd or 4th) from the opposite conference. This match will determine whether they start Play-Ins 2 in the upper or lower bracket.
  - Play-Ins 2: The teams with the highest points in Phase 2 Regular Season will pick their opponent based on Play-Ins 1 bracket positioning (upper or lower).
- Grand Final are Bo7,Upper & Lower Bracket Final are Bo5, all other matches are Bo3.

All MPL-Affiliated Teams are qualified to next season
Winner of Challenger Conference will be promoted to MPL MY S15
2nd place in Challenger Conference will compete with MPL MY S14 #9 for MPL MY S15 slot.
Bottom 2 in Challenger Conference will lose their slot
