The Gauntlet North America consists of two stages:
- a qualifier tournament, open to all teams, in a similar fashion as the Open Division format except that it is limited to 256 teams;
- a Knockout stage for teams made of November Contenders participants as well as the four finalists of the open qualifier.
- additionally, two showmatches are planned on the last day of the tournament, opposing North America & Europe Champions & Runner-ups.
Format[edit]
- Open Qualifier: (Single Elimination)
- Every match is played in FT3 format.
- Top four (4) teams are qualified for the Knockout stage.
- Knockout Stage: (Double Elimination)
- 12 teams in a double elimination bracket.
- All eight participants of the November season of Contenders are automatically qualified for the Knockout stage.
- All matches are first-to-3, except for Grand Finals, which are first-to-4.
