- Community Countdown festivities kick off on Saturday, February 9, with a series of team scrims and showmatches.

Team Scrims[edit]
- Team Scrims
- Format: the winner of each matchup is the first team to win two maps.
- The losing team will pick the subsequent map, and the winning team will select whether they want to attack or defend.
- Game modes will be played in the following order: control, hybrid, assault, escort
- The first map will be predetermined by the league from the Stage 1 map pool.
- Game settings:
- First 4 matches: standard competitive.
- Last 6 matches: mystery heroes.
- After the first four matches, it was announced that the rest of the matches would be played as mystery heroes instead.

Ashe 1v1[edit]
- Ashe 1v1
- Maps: Castillo, Necropolis, and Ecopoint: Antarctica.
- Game settings: headshots only.
- There’s no B.O.B., Dynamite, or elimination camera.
- There’s no capture point, and both players will be revealed to each other after 60 seconds. If there is not an elimination after five minutes, the round will end and be restarted.
- Score to win: five eliminations.
Ana Paintball 1v1[edit]
- Ana 1v1 Paintball
- Maps: Castillo, Necropolis, and Ecopoint: Antarctica.
- Game settings: one-shot eliminations.
- Biotic Grenade is disabled, Biotic Rifle damage is set to maximum, and there’s no elimination camera.
- There’s no capture point, and both players will be revealed to each other after 60 seconds. If there is not an elimination after five minutes, the round will end and be restarted.
- Score to win: five eliminations.
6v6 Capture the Flag[edit]
- 6v6 Capture the Flag
- Each team will select six players from their roster to compete.
- Maps: Busan (Sanctuary and Downtown), Lijiang Tower Gardens, Ayutthaya, Oasis University.
- Format: the winner of each matchup is the first team to win two rounds.
- Game settings: standard 6v6 CTF rules.

- 6v6 Showmatch
- Two teams of six players—a mixture of Overwatch League broadcast talent and streamers—will compete.
- Maps: Nepal, Numbani, Route 66, Horizon Lunar Colony, Busan.
- Format: the first team to win three maps is the winner.
- Game settings: standard competitive.
