San Francisco Shock is the team representing San Francisco, California, USA, in the Overwatch League. The Shock compete in the Pacific West Division.
The franchise is owned by Andy Miller, co-owner of NRG Esports and the NBA team Sacramento Kings.

- They are the first and only team in OWL history to complete a golden stage, not dropping a single map during a whole stage.
- They are the only team to have swept every other team in the Overwatch League.
- They are the first back-to-back champions in the Overwatch League.
Timeline[edit]
- July 12th - Franchise is officially announced, as part of the first seven franchises of the Overwatch League.[1]
- September 28th - San Francisco officially reveals their roster for Overwatch League Season 1. sinatraa, super, dhaK, Danteh, iddqd, babybay, sleepy and nomy join the team, with sinatraa and super joining the starting lineup when they meet the league's age requirement of 18.[2]
- October 16th - The San Francisco franchise officially reveal their new name, the San Francisco Shock.[3][4]
- October 30th - The team announces that they have signed Nevix.[5]
- November 6th - Manager Hotaruz is fired from NRG Esports and the San Francisco Shock franchise after sexual assault allegations.[6]
- November 15th - LegitRc is announced to have joined the Shock Coaching staff.[7]
- November 30th - harsha announces he has joined the team as an Analyst.[8]
- February 12th - Junkbuck joins the team's Coaching staff.[9]
- February 16th - Manager Zwei leaves NRG Esports and the San Francisco Shock.[10]
- March 13th - The team announces that they have signed moth and Architect.[11]
- April 5th - ChoiHyoBin is officially announced to have joined the team.[12]
- May 7th - The Shock undergo Coaching changes ahead of OWL Season 1 Stage 4. Head Coach Brad is released and Crusty is added from the Boston Uprising as the new Head Coach. NineK is promoted from the team's academy team NRG Esports to the Overwatch League as Assistant Coach.[13]
- August 22nd - The Shock release three players post Season 1. iddqd, nomy and dhaK are released.[14]
- September 6th - Sspace joins the team as VP of Marketing and Social.[15]
- September 17th - Analyst harsha announces that he has left the team.[16]
- September 18th - The team trade Danteh to the Houston Outlaws in exchange for smurf from GGEA.[17]
- September 25th - Rascal is promoted from NRG Esports to San Francisco Shock.[18]
