Toronto Defiant is the team representing Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in the Overwatch League. The Defiant compete in the Western Division.
The team is owned by OverActive Media, an esports and media company. The team was operated by Splyce until its acquisition by OverActive Media in November 2019.[1][2]

- September 7th - The Toronto Overwatch League franchise is officially announced alongside 6 new expansion teams for the 2019 season.[3] Toronto also announced that Chris Overholt will be the franchise's new CEO and President. Overholt was previously the CEO of the Canadian Olympic Committee.[1]
- September 10th - Bishop is announced as the Head Coach of the team.[4]
- October 24th - The name and branding of the Toronto franchise is officially announced to be the Toronto Defiant.[5][6] The official press release reveal three new members of the coaching staff: Assistant Coach Bubbly, Strategic Coach Don and Analyst Barroi.[7]
- October 27th - envy and Neko join the team.[8]
- October 29th - Ivy and Stellar join the team.[9]
- October 30th - Aid and Yakpung join the team.[10]
- November 27th - RoKy and Asher are announced to have joined the team as the final two members.[11]
