Washington is the team representing Washington, D.C., USA in the Overwatch League. The team is owned by Washington Esports Ventures, a sports organization founded by Mark Ein, owner of the Washington Kastles of World Team Tennis.

Timeline[edit]

  • September 7th - The Washington Overwatch League franchise is officially announced alongside 6 new expansion teams for the 2019 season.[1] Later in the day they announce that Kate Mitchell will be joining Washington Esports Ventures as Assistant General Manager. She will be the primary decision maker behind the Washington OWL team.[2]
  • September 11th - The Washington Overwatch League franchise signs free agent tank Janus and coach WizardHyeong .[3]
  • September 20th - The Washington Overwatch League franchise announce that AVALLA and mkL will be joining their coaching staff.[4]
