Washington Justice is the team representing Washington, D.C., USA in the Overwatch League. The team is owned by Washington Esports Ventures, a sports organization founded by Mark Ein, owner of the Washington Kastles of World Team Tennis.

Timeline[edit]

  • September 7th - The Washington Overwatch League franchise is officially announced alongside 6 new expansion teams for the 2019 season.[1] Later in the day they announce that Kate Mitchell will be joining Washington Esports Ventures as Assistant General Manager. She will be the primary decision maker behind the Washington OWL team.[2]
  • September 11th - The Washington Overwatch League franchise signs free agent tank Janus and coach WizardHyeong.[3]
  • September 20th - The Washington Overwatch League franchise announce that AVALLA and mkL will be joining their coaching staff.[4]
  • December 3rd - The name and branding of the Washington franchise is officially announced to be the Washington Justice.[5][6] The Justice also announce the rest of their management and coaching staff through their press release.[7]
  • December 4th - The Washington Justice begin to announce their roster. Stratus[8], Sansam[9], and Corey[10] join.
  • December 5th - The team continues to reveal their roster. Hyeonu[11], Fahzix[12], Gido[13], and Ado[14] are announced.
  • February 8th - The Washington Justice announces that Mason joins as Player Operations Manager.[15]
  • March 18th - ArK joins the team.[16][17]
