Biography[edit]
Erik 'Bird' Sjösten is a long-standing and well reputed name within the Hi-Rez esports ecosphere. With background in competitive SMITE, Sjösten took on the role of Coach for the team Titan, placing first at the EU Regionals of Season 1 and second at the SMITE Word Championship of Season 1. After Season 2 of SMITE, Sjösten found themselves moving to Paladins feeling more at home within the FPS genre.
Captain of the NiP roster, Sjösten has been present for the entire duration of Paladins esports as a whole and takes a very active role as a content creator within the overall community, producing regular videos on topics such as tierlists, loadouts, and overall game strategy. Role wise, Sjösten primarily plays the Support role for his team but is well versed with all Champions at a competitive level. With plenty of LAN experience under his belt from both SMITE and Paladins, he's an irreplaceable asset to his team with the knowledge that he's able to bring both in and out of game.
"I'm generally considered more of an analytical player more so than mechanical" he writes, continuing "due to my past in coaching and analysis I've carried over to Paladins focusing more on team compositions and such".
Sjösten's favourite Champion is Jenos; "I like putting my juke boots on!", referring to Jenos' movement ability 'Stellar Wind'.
