SUPER (2019 Universal Ruleset)

SUPER or Standard and Universal PUBG Esports Ruleset is a PUBG Competitive ruleset created by PUBG Corporation which serves as a Global Ruleset that all PUBG Esports pro competitions will be governed by.

PUBG Corporation's Statement[edit]

From the feedback we received, one of the greatest pain points for professional players and viewers alike in 2018 has been the discrepancy in the rulesets adopted by different tournament organizers. The wild variance in the esports rules prevented players from scaling up their skills and strategies efficiently, and forced viewers to learn how to watch the games every time a different event took place.

2019 will see all pro competitions, whether regional or global, third-party or first-party, adhere to a standardised, universal set of rules. Every pro competition will place 16 squads on Erangel and Miramar in first-person perspective mode only. There will also be unified settings for esports games with unique blue zone settings and item drop rates for ultra-competitive play. Every event will also follow the same points system, which is being re-designed to find the perfect balance between competitive gameplay and an entertaining viewing experience.[1]

Names & Team Tags[edit]

  • In-Game Nicknames may not use spaces or hyphen (-). In-Game Nicknames must include only one underscore (_) that immediately follows the Team Tag.

  • Team Tags must be either 2 or 3 characters. Team Tags may only include uppercase letters (A-Z) and digits (0-9). Team Tags may not use

spaces, underscores (_), or hyphens (-).

  • For pro teams, Team Tags must be unique globally.

Significant Canges[edit]

  • v1.5.0 introduces a separate table for Erangel made to rebalanced with the Update 28's Erangel Loot Rebalance, which causes the old settings to have extremely higher loots than usual.
  • v1.6.0 removes the Pro League and Pro Circuit term which splits 9 regions into 6/3 distribution, from v1.6 onwards all regions are treated the same.
  • v1.7.0 introduces Sanhok to the map pool with their own SUPER Loot Tables and Bluezone Settings especially for the map. Frag Grenades are heavily decreased their drop rate, with the others throwables (Smokes,Molotovs,Stuns) will be slightly higher.
