The Copa Elite Six is the tournament that unites the South American region and Mexico. From this tournament, teams from the Brasileirão, Campeonato Mexicano and Campeonato Sudamericano earn Global Points. At the end of each year the 16 teams with the most points in the Global Standings, no matter from what region, will automatically invited to the Six Invitational.
In addition to Global Points, it's through the Copa Elite Six that Latin American teams advance to the Six Major.
