About[edit]

Six Invitational is an annual professional Rainbow Six Siege tournament hosted by Ubisoft, the game's developer and publisher. Located in Montreal, home of the Ubisoft studio working on the game, the tournament gathers the best teams from all around the world. The event marks the end of previous year and acts as an informal World Cup.

Format[edit]

The first edition of the Six Invitational only had six teams on both PC and Xbox One. They were all placed in a single elimination bracket and played Bo3 matches. Since the second edition, sixteen teams are playing the event. All of them are separated in four groups of four. Each group uses a double elimination bracket to determine the best two teams that will qualify for the playoffs. Once the eight remaining teams are known, they are placed in a single elimination bracket. Every single match is in Bo3 outside of the Grand Final played in Bo5.
