FC Barcelona eSports is a Spanish professional esports organization owned by one of the biggest Spanish soccer teams: FC Barcelona. The organization currently hosts Squads in PES and Rocket League. On the 4th of April 2019, they decided to get into the Rocket League scene by signing Savage!, consisting of Deevo, Bluey, Alpha54 and substitute ByMateos.

History[edit]

RLCS Season 7[edit]

FC Barcelona entered into Rocket League on 4th of April 2019 with their roster consisting of the new rookie Alpha54 and two former RLCS players returning to the league again, Bluey from PSG Esports and Deevo from Team Envy.

Week 1 kicked off greatly for Barca, as they took it 3-1 over Dignitas, consisting of Turbopolsa, ViolentPanda and their newly picked up third, Yukeo. The second week was about to become a disappointment to FC Barcelona as they made history, but in a bad way. They were the first team in EU RLCS to get shut out and not score a single goal in the series against Team Vitality and getting swept 3-0, Team Vitality's roster is Fairy Peak, Scrub Killa and their new third and two time world champion, Kaydop.

Week 3 would be a very tough fight for Barcelona, as they had TSM coming up as their next match. It would be a very good start for Barca as they started off Game 1 with an 8-1 finish, this boosted their confidence significantly and Barca was ready to roll, it all came to Game 5, where Barca would just barely lose to TSM by 1 goal. Week 4 was about to be Barca's best week, winning 3-1 confidently over mousesports, al0t, Alex161 and Tigreee and then sweeping The Bricks, Speed, kuxir97 and miztik. With this, they secured a spot for the Regional Playoffs.

Week 5 was an important week, as it dictated where Barca would finish and even guarantee a spot at the World Championship, they had Triple Trouble, which was Kassio, Ronaky and Tadpole. Then they had a match of the Football organisations, it was PSG Esports, which consisted of Chausette45, Ferra and Fruity. It was Bluey vs his old team. They won against Triple Trouble 3-1 then they did the same to PSG Esports winning them 3-1.

After they had managed to guarantee themselves a spot at the World Championship, they had the Regional Playoffs. They won over Triple Trouble 4-1 and then they lost to Team Vitality 4-2.

RLCS Season 7 LAN[edit]

FC Barcelona, had a tough bracket to play, with Rogue, consisting of Kronovi, AyyJayy and Wonder, the dark horses of NA. And the Renegades, consisting of Torsos, Kamii and their new third ZeN. They started off strong with a sweep over the Renegades, then they had a tough match vs Rogue, which ended up in a 3-1 for Rogue.

Then they had the matchup which everyone was looking forward to, Cloud9 vs FC Barcelona, the two playstyles which everyone compared together, both teams built of pure aggression and speed in their playstyles, but for Barca, this is where their World Championship run would end, getting swept by Cloud9. This sent Barca home with a 5th-8th place finish.
