Chronology
EVO 2017 was the 2017 edition of the Evolution tournament series, the largest fighting game tournament series in the world, and seen as the world championships of fighting games. EVO 2017 was the sixth EVO to feature Super Smash Bros. Melee, and fifth consecutive EVO to feature it.
Alongside Melee, EVO 2017 also featured tournaments for: Street Fighter V, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Injustice 2, Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Tekken 7, and The King of Fighters XIV.
