Super Smash Bros. Melee
Super Smash Bros. Melee is a multiplayer fighting game developed by Masahiro Sakurai and HAL Labratory, and published by Nintendo. Melee was released in Fall of 2001 in North America and Japan, and Spring of 2002 in Europe and Australia. Melee is the sequel to Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 64.
Melee's roster is comprised of licensed Nintendo characters who have appeared in previous Nintendo owned or published games. Notably, Marth and Roy who appeared in the Fire Emblem series made their first overseas appearance in Melee, as no entries in the Fire Emblem series were released outside of Japan until after Melee's release.
